Many lines of communication are open to you including your physician, nurses and administrative staff who make every effort to ensure your comfort and safety. Our experienced professionals understand that there are often questions associated with Bariatric treatments; therefore, you will always be provided with a thorough explanation of what you will experience while in our care.

Our Policies

Appointments & Consultations

To schedule an appointment please call (713) 522-4037 or visit our online scheduling center to make an appointment.

Cancellations

In today's hectic world unplanned issues come up for all of us. We recognize this fact, but we respectfully request that you cancel your scheduled appointment by phone or online a minimum of 7 days in advance for New Appointments and 48 hours in advance for all others. That way the open slot can be filled with someone needing an appointment.

Failure to provide such notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit. The deposits are collected by credit card prior to the appointment.

Our aim here is to open otherwise unused appointments for our patients, not to collect missed appointment fees. Your cooperation and consideration are appreciated.

Emergencies

Our practice is dedicated to providing outpatient specialty care services only. Emergency and inpatient services are covered by IPC - The Hospitalist Company.

Health Insurance FAQ

Q. Is there insurance reimbursement for these treatments?
A. Depending on the variety o aspects of our Bariatric program, time, cost and insurance coverage will vary. We ask that you pay at the time of your visit and we will help you submit your claim for insurance reimbursement. Many patients do have success in obtaining at least partial reimbursement (60% - 80%) from their insurance carrier. We may expedite this action by filing the claims electronically on your behalf.

Q. Why can’t the doctor’s office bill and collect from my insurance company directly?
A. Our policy regarding insurance companies is: “We choose to work directly with and for our patients. We keep the patient-doctor relationship untainted from the restraints of any 3rd party insurance company which often dictates what can and cannot be done.”

Q. But I saw that you are In-Network with my insurance company, why can’t you bill them directly?
A. Anti-Aging treatments are not considered primary care. Our contracted services are included only as primary care physicians. For any other service like: Weight Loss, Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy, Weight-Loss, Chelation Treatments are considered “Out of Network” by most insurance carriers and get reimbursed.
